Next Fall just had its final performance today and one of the actors in this play presented by the Repertory Philippines is David Bianco, who makes his first foray into local theatre. The play is about a gay couple and the dynamics of their relationships, focusing mainly on the character of David, whose deep Christian faith is being questioned by his lover, played by Bart Guingona.
David is kinda cute, in the nerdy kind of way - and he's a good actor too - being a gay man myself, I hate it when actors flub their gay roles. I can say that because in his "tender scenes" with Bart - they really come across as a real couple - which is cute to see, especially since now that I'm single again - I do miss those things. I do not know yet what's next for him here but I won't be surprised if he snares another role, maybe even from another local theatre company. There is a demand for Caucasian actors here especially in plays where white men are really needed.
