I'm sure many male strippers in Hollywood or New York or London or Paris have thought of this question at least once in their 'careers' - if you can call it that - "Who would I have to sleep with to get the break I want and leave this crummy profession?!!!" Well, they could ask Channing Tatum first!
The guy does not hide that part of his life and I guess his honesty has served him well. He's the only male stripper I know who has now become a certified A-list actor in Hollywood!! His movie, The Vow, has just opened this week in the US to the tune of 41 million dollars! And that's for a movie with NO VISUAL EFFECTS. Well, I guess, Channing's chiseled body alone IS the VISUAL EFFECT for this movie!!
I discovered Channing a few years ago in Step Up. I love hip hop dancing so when I saw the movie - it was kinda lust at first sight. Imagine a guy as handsome as him dancing!! I actually don't remember the dancing anymore - all I remember was that WOW, this guy is HOT!! Where has he been hiding?
Well, after that, he got role after role after role, and the last movie I saw him in before The Vow, was Haywire - and that movie had Oscar pedigree (the director, Steven Soderbergh and the actor, Michael Douglas are Oscar winners!). Imagine that! From a start in dance movie geared towards a young, hip audience to working with Oscar winners!! I'd take that opportunity anytime. He actually plays a pivotal role in Haywire, so better watch that one too! Hindi siya dakilang extra!! However, no shirtless scenes there though.
