Kate Beckinsale appears in yet, another movie this week, this time, in the smuggling caper, Contraband. Except for her, all the major characters in this movie are well, "bad guys" - meaning that they are on the wrong side of the law. However, since Mark Wahlberg's character already has a family of two sons, he has decided on a more legit type of business. But then, when his brother-in-law entangles himself with the wrong group of people, by running a botched up drug courier assignment - all their lives are turned upside down!
Well, I love the editing of the movie! There never is a dull moment and you are always on the edge of your seat since the Customs people and the supposedly "good guys" are never far behind from them. It was also the first time I got to get a glimpse of the Panama Canal and Panama City! There are twists and turns here which are alternatingly funny and grotesque but as a whole, it was an enjoyable ride. It actually made me think of how horribly corrupt our local Customs are! No wonder it's the gravy train of our local government officials! Watch this! There's never a dull moment!
