Remembering Jessica Alba in 'Little Fockers'

Interestingly, it's not the 'war' between Robert de Niro and Ben Stiller that I distinctly remember in the Little Fockers.  It's Jessica Alba!  She's really just a breath of fresh air in this movie where the casting has some really big Hollywood heavyweights - Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner and Harvey Keitel.  She just appears in a few scenes but as I said, good thing that she's here - she brings youth to an otherwise heavy set comedy!

Little Fockers: My #31 Favorite Movie of 2011

I almost didn't actually watch this movie because of the really bad reviews about it but what do you know - I actually enjoyed watching it!  Everyone here is in topnotch form - and although some of the jokes here have been done in the previous Meet the Family series - I actually enjoyed the scene where Laura Dern thinks that Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller was a gay couple!  Touché!

Love and Other Drugs: My #32 Favorite Movie of 2011

All I distinctly remember from the movie Love and Other Drugs was the incessant humping and pumping between the gorgeous leads, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway!  And that they were naked in most of the scenes - especially Jake - was a plus factor for a gay guy like me!  That's why, although I only remember the Viagra scenes and Jake in all his splendor, the movie ranks in my Top 40 for 2011.  Yeah, and it does help that both leads can also act too!

The Strikingly Beautiful Katheryn Winnick

She doesn't appear in too many scenes in Love and Other Drugs, but as Jake Gyllenhaal's gal du jour, it's not difficult to remember Katheryn Winnick because of her beautiful, flirtatious eyes!  The lucky gal even has a bed scene with Jake!!  I hate her already!  Anyhow, I won't be surprised to find her in more movies in 2012.  She just has 'it'!

No Strings Attached - My #33 Favorite Movie of 2011

I remember this movie primarily because of that long scene where Ashton Kutcher appears naked!  Since he looked so huge in the moviehouse - and because we were seated pretty near - it was like I could actually touch him there!  Otherwise, it's another one of those movies this year which dissects if a man and a woman can remain friends and NOT be lovers and just have all the sex they want between each other!

Jake Johnson Plays the Cute Best Friend in 'No Strings Attached'

This is the first time I noticed how cute the best friend of Ashton Kutcher was in the movie, No Strings Attached - yeah, after i re-viewed the trailer again!  It was played by Jake Johnson, who looks great in his pictures here.  His look is not buffed but natural!  Yum yum!!

The Alluring Olivia Thirlby

I first discovered Olivia Thirlby in Juno - as Juno's best friend.  Here in No Strings Attached, she plays Natalie Portman's supportive sister.  I wouldn't be surprised if her roles keep coming in.  Olivia is simply alluring!

Will the Real Piper Perabo Please Stand Up!

It's crazy that I've been mistaking the real Piper Perabo for another actress!  Anyhow, I just realized that now.  At least the mistake has been corrected. She's the girl who romanced the hunky Adam Garcia in Coyote Ugly.  She's one of my favorite Hollywood actresses who you often get to see playing a supporting role.  At least now, I wouldn't mistake her for Lake Bell anymore - and vice-versa!

Remembering Lake Bell in 'No Strings Attached'

Lake Bell is actually one of my favorite actresses and I only realized it now that I have been actually mistaking her for another actress, Piper Perabo!!  All this time, I thought her name was Piper Perabo and that the real Piper Perabo had another name!  How crazy is that!! To think that I do love both ladies very much!! They're not very famous yet but you get to see them in this movie and that movie!

Now that I'm doing my year end list, I just found out that Lake Bell was actually there but I couldn't quite place her there.  Anyway, as I said, you see her almost everywhere!!

Remembering Greta Gerwig in No Strings Attached

The luminous Greta Gerwig plays one of the supportive doctor friends of Natalie Portman in No Strings Attached, one of the comedies that I saw in HK early this year.

Movie Review: Sex Please But No Love in 'No Strings Attached'

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, both starring in Friends With Benefits, have been beaten to the punch by a movie shown earlier this year, this time with Ashton Kutcher, a certified Hollywood celebrity hunk, and Natalie Portman, entitled No Strings Attached.

There is a full ten minute scene which starts with that very sexy picture above which shows he gangly and hot Ashton, almost nekkid the whole time!  It was really fun to watch!  I was very lucky to be so near the screen, I just wanted to extend my hand - and touch 'him'!

Let's see if Justin has any hot scenes in his upcoming movie of the same theme.

Fright Night: My #34 Favorite Movie of 2011

Fright Night was actually a remake of a 1985 movie which I never saw since at that time, betamaxes and movies were not very ubiquitious, unlike now.  However, watching the remake was just as fun and I particularly liked how Colin Farrell played the evil vampire and how the geeky Anton Yelchin played the protagonist.  There are enough moments here to put you in the edge of your seat!

New Year's Eve: My #35 Favorite Movie of 2011

New Year's Eve was one of the more lightweight comedies that I enjoyed this year due mainly to its A-list cast which included personal favorites of mine - Michelle Pfeiffer, Sofia Vergara, Zac Efron and Asthon Kutcher!  There wasn't much of a plotline and the message maybe saccharine at best but still, with all that star wattage onscreen, it was a relaxing way to spend a weekend.

There Be Dragons: My #36 Favorite Movie of 2011

There Be Dragons is one of the more inspiring movies of 2011 since it's about the life of Saint Josemaria Escriva.  Although it covers only a small part of his life, I think it was when his life was at its most dangerous phase, mainly because of Spain's anti-clergical stance.  There are some shocking scenes here, like when they kill priest.  It was directed by Roland Joffe who did the extraordinary The Killing Fields so it plows the same historical vein.
